Awards The Royal Humane Society awards medals and certificates for acts of bravery and the saving of human life. They are presented throughout the year and there is no limit to the number given. Our committee meets every 6-8 weeks to assess nominations. The level of award is determined by the degree of risk taken by the rescuer or would-be rescuer:
