Testimonial on Vellum
So far in 2004 we have awarded 38 Testimonials on Vellum.For a list of winners, please click here.
In 2003 we awarded 85 Testimonials on Vellum.
The Vellum is awarded where someone has put themselves in considerable danger to rescue someone else.
Although we have kept the historical name of the award, it is no longer made of vellum but of good quality card.
Each one is hand-inscribed by a professional calligrapher, giving a summary of the act of bravery leading to the award.
The certificates are personally signed by HRH Princess Alexandra, the President of the Society, after they've been inscribed.
They are also signed by Julian Spicer, the Chairman, and David Pennefather, the Secretary.
